How do you create and sell NFTs? 🖼

NFTs are a hot topic and we are convinced that sooner or later the current economic trend will use NFTs in everyday life. That's why we want to help you understand how to create and sell proprietary NFTs. To create NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens), whether it's a piece of art, an image, a video or anything else, you don't need any special knowledge of cryptocurrencies and the process is relatively simple.

You need to decide which blockchain you want to issue NFTs on. For example, Ethereum is currently the main blockchain service for issuing NFTs, but there are other blockchains that are becoming more and more popular: Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, Tron, EOS, Polkadot, etc.

How to create NFTs

One important thing to understand is that each blockchain has its own NFT token standard, wallet services and compatible marketplaces. If you create NFTs on Ethereum, you will only be able to sell them on platforms that support those assets. OpenSea is an Ethereum-based NFT marketplace. But let's take an example focused on creating an NFT, artwork, music or video on the Ethereum blockchain.

The first thing you need is a wallet that supports ERC-721 (i.e. the Ethereum-based NFT token standard), such as MetaMask, Trust Wallet or Coinbase with about $50-$100 in (ETH) available. You can buy Ethereum on Binance or Coinbase.

Once you have created a wallet, you should know that there are a number of NFT-focused platforms that allow you to link your wallet and upload the image or file of your choice that you want to turn into an NFT.

The main Ethereum NFT marketplaces are:

They all have a "create" button in the upper right corner of the page.

But let's take the operation of OpenSea as an example, since it is, at the moment, the largest NFT exchange, although the principle is similar for the other platforms as well.

Then, by clicking on the "create" button, circled in red, you access a screen where you have to connect your wallet based on the Ethereum blockchain. After entering your wallet password, the platform will automatically connect your wallet to the marketplace. The next step on OpenSea is to click on the "Create" button in the upper right corner and select "My collections", where you will find the NFT collections you have created and from there, click on the blue "create" button.

Once you click on "create", a window will pop up allowing you to upload the file, whether it's an artwork, video, photo, etc., and you can add a name and description, although the latter is not required. Once you upload the image you want, it will appear in the collection. You will need to add a logo image by clicking on the pencil icon in the upper right corner.

You are now ready to create your first NFT.

Click on the blue "Add New Item" button.

You will see a new window where you can upload your own image, audio, GIF or 3D model. Of course, on OpenSea and other marketplaces, you also have the ability to include special features and attributes to make your NFT more unique. You also have the ability to include content that can only be seen by the buyer. For example: passwords to access certain services or discount codes and contact information.

When you are done, click "Create" at the bottom of the page and sign another message in your personal portfolio to confirm and complete the creation of your NFT. The work should then appear in your collection.

How much does it cost to create an NFT?

Platforms obviously charge a fee for NFT creation. For example, with Ethereum-based platforms, the fee is known as Gas and the cost of Gas varies depending on network congestion.

How to sell NFT?

To sell NFTs, you need to locate them in your collection, click on them and find the "Sell" button, which will open a pricing page where you can set the terms of sale and you can choose to start an auction or sell at a fixed price. Almost like Ebay ☺️
